Why Balwyn North TVs lose channels
Some TVs in Balwyn North keep losing channels after software updates. We check the tuner settings, disable automatic channel updates where they cause trouble, and confirm the signal is solid.
Where Balwyn North's signal comes from
Mt Dandenong: 23 km at 101° (east-south-east), VHF horizontal. For this address we'd usually fit a compact VHF/UHF combination antenna.
The signal's route to Balwyn North
Signal from Mt Dandenong travels 23 km to reach Balwyn North, passing over Greythorn (1.0 km out), Box Hill North (3.6 km out), Blackburn North (6.4 km out), Rangeview (9.9 km out), Ringwood East (15 km out) and Bayswater North (17 km out) on the way.
When we aim a Balwyn North antenna we start at 101° and then peak it on the meter, because reflections can make the best direction a few degrees off the map bearing.
Balwyn North's signal path
Balwyn North homes usually need nothing exotic: a sound combination antenna, aimed accurately at Mt Dandenong, feeding quad-shield cable and proper outlets. Getting those basics right fixes the large majority of calls we take here.
